Air Jordan 1 Mid Banned (2020)

We are here to take a closer look at the Jordan 1 Mid Banned, a black, red and white colourway, one with a story behind it. Back for 2020 with a big nod towards the basketball and sneakerhead scene, in a colourway that’s absolutely timeless.

This popular AJ1 is here to remind us of the waves that Michael Jordan made back in 1984. Where rules were slightly less casual than they are in this day and age, court sneakers had to match the team colours, but MJ wanted to make an impact. Each time he wore these Bred kicks, he was fined $5,000. Despite this, Jordan continued to don the colourway (with help from Nike to do so) and, inevitably, pushed himself even higher in the scene. From that, comes the “Banned” colourway.

The premium leather materials compose the Banned Air Jordan 1 and its mid-top design, with a red toe box, heel, outsole and branded tongue, outlined with hard black colours around the mudguards, lace unit and inners. A strong colourway for an even stronger sneaker.

Air Jordan Wings make their appearance on the lateral sidewalls, while the white midsole under foot will be keeping you cushioned all day.
